Ship is on the Water!

Hello Wonderful Backers! How are you doing? Hopefully, you are doing well. All is good here - except of course it is rather hot outside. Perfect weather for gaming?
A quick update on status. The boat has left China and is on the water! That means it should arrive in the port of New York on August 20th and QML in Florida on August 28th. That means you should get your games in the US around the middle to end of September! Yeah, we're smashing that estimated delivery date - hurrah!
For other backers, the EU/UK ship is being handled by my fulfillment partner in France and I don't have the exact dates for that shipment. I would expect it to move at about the same speed as the US ship - but I'll keep you updated as I hear more.
If you're concerned about changing your address, you will receive an email before it mails to you which should give you an opporunity to make any needed adjustments. But if you're still concerned, please send me a private message here or email me at [email protected].

Hello Wonderful Backers! Hope you are well.
Manufacturing of Dr. Science is finishing up right now and shipping from China will begin soon after. We're running ahead of schedule (!), so I'd very much appreciate you completing your survey as soon as you can. There are about 43 individuals who have not yet completed it. I need addresses so I can prepare shipping with my fulfillment agents.
If you have not received your survey for completing your shipping address, please let me know! The best way to do that is to directly message me here on Kickstarter.

Hello Wonderful Backers!
This is another quick update to let you know the Surveys have been sent. This is used to collect your shipping address - so please fill it out when you receieve it.
Don't worry if you don't see it right away - it can take up to 24 hours to get them all sent out from Backer Kit. If you don't reply over a few weeks, I will follow up and make sure you stay connected so you can get your copy of Dr. Science!
If your address will be changing between now and when the game ships, don't worry! You'll also receive a follow up email asking you to confirm your shipping information and allowing you to change it if necessary.
MPC Approved
I've approved the MPC (manufacturer's pre-production copy) and everything is looking great. I'm coordinating with Surfin Meeple in the EU/UK and QML in the US for fulfillment. These are the same folks I've used in the past, so we're looking good to get those games to you as soon as possible. I'd guess printing will take another few weeks then we'll be coordinating the shipment from China to the EU and US. That usually takes 4-6 weeks as well to cross the ocean.
Overall, I'd say we're still about 3-4 months away from you receiving your game, but I'll let you know as the process continues.

Hello Terrific Backers!
How are you this day? I do hope you are well.
This is a quick update again with only good news. I received the PPC (Pre-Production Copy) and quickly approved it! Everything is great - new (simple) insert for shipping and storage, slight tweaks to the rulebook, and a "scuff-resistent" application on the box cover (the cover is mainly black so this resists chipping/scratching). Everything looks good.
Printing has begun at Panda Games. I expect it will take 4-6 weeks to complete this step. Then we'll begin to arrange shipment from China to EU/UK and US. I'll post another update when I hear more.

Good News! Pre-Production!

Hello, Wonderful Backers!
Guess what? The PPC (Pre-Production Copy) of DR. SCIENCE is being printed already! Hurrah! We've already passed the digital proof stage (that happened in the last few days). A PPC is a full copy of the game, shrink-wrapped, and packaged just the way you'll see it. It'll take about a week or so to print the PPC and then it will ship to me for approval.
I've made just a few tweaks on the finish for the box (a scuff resistant coating is applied), some added symbols/codes to the back of the box, and some tweaks to the rulebook (clarifying trump when playing a wild, clarifying a few examples, etc). These are all part of the PPC.
After approval from me, we'll get started on manufacturing which I imagine will take about 2 months to finish. Then we'll arrange shipping across the waters to our fulfillment agents in the US and EU (another 5-6 weeks). After that, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping to you.
We're ahead of scheduled which is fantastic! Hopefully everything will continue to move along quickly.
